We are always looking for highly motivated MS/PhD students to join our research group. The open research positions offer the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in high-performance power electronics for space power systems, transportation electrification, and renewable grid integration, with potential focus areas including: Miniaturized circuit topology and modulation optimization for WBG-based isolated power converter systems, Al applications in power electronics control, parameter estimation, and health monitoring, EMI/EMC modeling and filtering techniques.
What we are looking for in PhD applicants:
- Curiosity and courage to uncover unknowns, backed by strong self-motivation and technical foundation
- MS (preferred) or BS in EE/ECE with solid knowledge in power electronics, control systems, and Al/ML techniques
- Strong academic record (GPA, GRE Quantitative >165, TOEFL)
- Hands-on experience in building and testing electronic hardware
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Python, Simulink, PLECS, ANSYS, Schematic/PCB design tools, and microcontroller coding
- Research publications in the relevant field are a plus
