The open research positions offer the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in high-performance power electronics for space power systems, transportation electrification, and renewable grid integration, with potential focus areas including: Miniaturized circuit topology and modulation optimization\u00a0for WBG-based isolated power converter systems, Al applications in power electronics control, parameter\u00a0estimation, and health monitoring, EMI\/EMC modeling and filtering techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">What we are looking for in PhD applicants:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Curiosity and courage to uncover unknowns, backed by strong self-motivation and technical foundation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">MS (preferred) or BS in EE\/ECE with solid knowledge in power electronics, control systems, and Al\/ML techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Strong academic record (GPA, GRE Quantitative &gt;165, TOEFL)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Hands-on experience in building and testing electronic hardware<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Familiarity with MATLAB\/Python, Simulink, PLECS, ANSYS, Schematic\/PCB design tools, and microcontroller coding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Research publications in the relevant field are a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We are&nbsp;looking forward to building a passionate, innovative, and collaborative team here at UCF!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are always looking for highly motivated MS\/PhD students to join our research group.
