OIL WELL MONITORING SYSTEM

Information

The Oil Well Monitoring System is a project designed to extract wave energy using turbines in the Gulf of Mexico and provide usable electrical energy to the sensors used for monitoring abandoned oil wells. The purpose of our team (EECS) was to use the AC energy provided from the generator and convert it to DC energy to charge a lead acid battery. This battery will provide the necessary voltage to power the sensors.
