Automated Targeting Sentry

The Automated Targeting Sentry (ATS) is a low cost defensive solution capable of defending high priority areas. Once properly deployed and calibrated, the sentry is fully functional.

Project ATS is focused on low cost, reliability, and accuracy. Since project ATS is a self funded group, the need for a low cost solution was a necessity. Since the system is fully automated and may not necessarily be monitored by a human 100% of the time, ATS operates well over six hours under normal operating conditions. Furthermore accuracy plays a key role in any weapon system.

The ATS system is implemented using a standard laptop computer to perform computer vision tracking algorithms. The laptop interfaces with a custom embedded system capable of controlling the direction, warnings, and paintball gun components.
