The Smart Mirror is an interactive, productivity focused mirror for the bathroom that is designed to boost time management in the morning. The Smart Mirror has a custom designed suite of six applications including Twitter, to-do list, music, weather, news, and calendar. The mirror is all controlled through gestures interpreted by an infrared sensor called the Leap Motion.The Smart Mirror also features voice recognition, letting the user post a tweet, add an item to their to-do list, and even control their music. The Smart Mirror takes care of itself by using a motion detection system provided by the webcam which allows the mirror to wake and sleep to conserve power depending if the user is present. Finally, the Smart Mirror has a temperature and humidity regulation system that monitors the room values and if the temperature gets too high, the system will automatically shut down.
