Bike Dash is a project that was designed as part of the cirriculum for the
Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Bike Dash
is an all-in-one ride monitoring application that uses external sensors
(such as GPS, Accelerometer and Temperature) in conjunction with an Android
application that intends to give riders a more pleasurable and informative
ride. The Android application offers the ability to see statistics
such as total distance traveled, calories burned, speed, ambient
temperature, and various other metrics. The application also offers a
Map View, which gives the rider a visual representation of a route
travelled. Bike Dash also offers a rider comfort in knowing that in
the event of a crash, authorities and/or other appropriate parties can be
alerted using a paired Android device without any input from the rider.
