A.I.R.E : Autonomous Intelligent Roof Enclosure

Senior Design - Spring 2020

Description

The A.I.R.E. - Autonomous Retractable Roof Enclosure is a smart roof controlled by a multitude of weather sensors and an iOS Application. Sponsored by OpenAire retractable roofs and skylights, the goal of this project is to turn a currently semi-automated design into a fully-automated system with customizable controls and user interaction via an app. Senor data will be used to detect comfortable versus dangerous weather conditions based on the types of activities offered within the enclosure, such as water parks, eateries, shopping centers, greenhouses and gardens, etc. With OpenAire, our goal is to add sky to your design by bringing the outdoors indoors with a fully retractable roof!
