Clever Coasters

About our Project

You’re sitting at home enjoying a nice saturday afternoon out by your pool. Next thing you know there is a drone flying above your head taking a video of you! This is a clear invasion of privacy, but what are you going to do about it?

The RTDS is a small turret featuring a camera mounted on rotating servos, allowing the camera to swivel and view the area above and around it. The camera will feed its vision to a powerful object-detection computer that will identify quadcopter drones. In response, tracking software will center the cameras focus on the observed drone, at which point a red-dot laser will be fired, marking the target drone as neutralized.
