Closed Marine Life Support System

A sensor suite designed to study aquatic life in micro-gravity environments. This NASA-funded project will measure critical parameters related to water quality – dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, ammonia, algae color, and turbidity. System is equipped with transceiver electronics that will transmit data. The sensor suite will benefit scientists who study how aquatic ecosystems react to micro-gravity environments, as the use of aquatic media is expected to be a central requirement for food production in extraterrestrial conditions. This prototype will serve as a low-cost demonstration of the sensor suite.
