About
Our senior design project focuses on addressing the issue of bicycle theft, particularly on college campuses like the University of Central Florida. To enhance bike security, we are developing a high-tech bike lock equipped with NFC, GPS, and cellular capabilities. This system will provide real-time location tracking, instant tampering alerts via a mobile app, and an audible alarm to deter theft. Unlike traditional locks, our design ensures immediate awareness and increases the chances of bike recovery. While our primary focus is on UCF, this technology can benefit a wider population in urban areas and beyond, setting a new standard for bike security.
