Our phyiscal check-in kiosks offer an effortless check-in system, supporting user authentication using near-field communication (NFC) cards or manual ID entry.
The SCAN system can be used to collect user engagement data based on check-in statistics, generating and displaying analytics data on a webpage dashboard.
The system provides insights into usage patterns such as overall occupancy, peak hours throughout the week, and the average duration of a user's stay. These insights can then be used by facilities to inform resource allocation, staffing, and facility planning.
The kiosk management page allows admins to view active kiosks, monitor power/charging status, and deploy new firmware updates.
Computer Engineering
Cory Brynds is a senior graduating with a BS in Computer Engineering on the Digital VLSI track. During his time at UCF, he has been an active member of IEEE UCF and has previously interned at AMD, nScrypt, and Limbitless Solutions. After graduation, he plans to pursue his masters in Computer Engineering and then enter the semiconductor design industry.

DeAndre Hendrix is a senior pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering. While at UCF, he has interned at Limbitless Solutions and L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne as an electrical engineering and embedded software intern, respectively. After graduation, he intends to pursue a masters in Computer Engineering with a focus in embedded software.
Electrical Engineering
Jonah Sprandel is a senior EE student focused on power electronics and firmware development. He initially became interested in these areas during his internship at ApECOR. He has since interned at L3Harris Aerojet Rocketdyne and hopes to work on EV charging in the future. He has been an involved member of IEEE UCF, leading embedded workshops and serving as Treasurer. Following graduation, he plans to pursue his masters in EE.
