Project Overview
The Spotlight Tracking with Automated Recognition (S.T.A.R.) project is an automated spotlight system designed to track and illuminate performers on stage without the need for manual operation or expensive lighting consoles. Traditional stage lighting often requires a dedicated spotlight operator or costly moving-head fixtures with complex control systems. These approaches increase labor, equipment, and programming costs while limiting accessibility for smaller venues, schools, and theaters. S.T.A.R. provides a cost-effective, compact, and user-friendly alternative.
