Project Overview
Affordable HUD technology for small aircraft
P.E.G.A.S.U.S. is a portable heads-up display system created for small general aviation aircraft. The system collects real-time data from an embedded sensor suite, processes aircraft orientation and altitude information, and renders a clean HUD interface for the pilot.
The project focuses on improving situational awareness by placing essential flight parameters in the pilot’s forward field of view.
System Highlights
From sensors to real-time flight visualization
Embedded Sensors
Collects orientation, heading, pressure, and altitude data using onboard hardware.
Sensor Fusion
Combines motion and environmental data to estimate useful aircraft state information.
HUD Interface
Displays attitude, heading, altitude, and vertical speed through a compact visual interface.
Data Logging
Stores flight samples, runtime sessions, and system events for testing and validation.
