Workout Buddy was designed with average weightlifters in mind.  The device simplifies keeping track of the user’s workout, and eliminates the need for the user to bring a pen and paper to the gym.  This project was chosen because it explores different areas of  engineering including, wireless communication, processing data by the use of microcontrollers, analog signal detection on the micro-V range, and angle detection by the use of an accelerometer.

Many thanks to the Department of Veteran Affairs for the immense funding of this project.

We’d also like to thank SignTek for their generous donation of vinyl.
