Intellaturbine

The Intellaturbine Wind Generation System was constructed by Group 9 of Senior Design during the Summer 2012 semester. The project is designed to be a simple, plug-and-play wind turbine with little to no input from the user. The system includes a buck converter, current and voltage sensing system, and four heavy-duty lead acid flooded batteries that promise to sustain constant power generation for a long period of time. Also featured in Intellaturbine is a persistent data logging system that logs important performance characteristics of the system and relates it to the prevailing wind speed.
