The handheld camera stabilizer (HCS) is a single-axis, light weight, compact, easy-to-use stabilizer intended for use in lightweight personal aircraft. The HCS stabilizes a DSLR camera during filming in turbulent weather conditions. The HCS compensates motion in the vertical axis using two servomotors and two inertial measurement units to ensure steady filming without the assistance of post-filming stabilization software.
