The autonomous solution to saving lives

ABOUT FXUAV

FXUAV is a senior design project for UCF computer and electrical engineering. The Fire Extinguishing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or FXUAV for short, is a vehicle that autonomously seeks for the presence of a fire, and suppresses it. Using an advanced imaging processing algorithm, HD camera, a scripted guiding system, and a payload release mechanism, the FXUAV automatically determines a search grid, detects the presence of a flame, and drops a suppressant over the flames. The project seeks to facilitate a drive towards reducing the number of fatalities, injuries, and losses; and effectively reduce the number of deaths due to structure collapse and smoke inhalation
