After studying Computer Engineering at UCF, Adam Cuellar plans to begin his career in Virginia as a Software Developer. However, Adam is first pursuing his master's degree in Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning at UCF.

Jacky Li

Jacky Li is obtaining a Computer Engineering degree at the University of Central Florida. Jacky's post-graduation plans include, "ya boi just trying to make it in life".

Louis Rondino

Louis Rondino is obtaining his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Central Florida. He was in charge of schematic and PCB design for the black box project. His focus of study is embedded systems and programming.

Nathan Chong

Nathan Chong is graduating with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Central Florida. He will soon start his career at Black & Veatch where he will learn how to design substations. His current interests are in power distributions and protection & control systems.

Project Description

The Black Box can be the most significant enhancement to receiving personal mail in regard to security. Instead of baring the inconvenience of lack of security, individuals can now feel confident about receiving valuable mail. The Black Box is a porch package protection system that allows postal carriers to place deliveries inside of it whenever the customer is not present. Once the package is placed, it keeps the package secured using an electromechanical lock to prevent itself from being opened. Then it notifies the user that the package has been delivered and is safely secured awaiting for it to be opened once the user is available.
