Smart Pet Feeder

Final Prototype

Summary

Pet owners have many responsibilities, one of the most significant being feeding their pets. Feeding becomes arduous for pet owners who are away for extended periods, such as vacations, work, or school. Additional complexity is maintaining the particular diets of each pet and erroneous feeding of another animal. Our solution is using computer vision to enhance this device and solve this problem. While also adding alerts in the event of pets eating the incorrect food. The feeder alerts users if it becomes tipped as well. Helping prevent mischievous pets from tipping over the feeder to get more food. These alerts come through a text message to the user's phone. The user can control the amount of food dispensed and the feeding time, thus ensuring a healthy feeding schedule for their pet.
