Voltes Fly is a low cost vestibular cueing flight simulator which allows the user to take part in a virtual world where they become pilots of a Cessna 172 and other smaller aircraft. The pilot can interact with the simulation by utilizing a throttle, joystick with haptic feedback, and a moving cockpit placed in front of a projector. These components all work together to give the pilot the realistic feeling of being immersed into a flight experience. Voltes fly simulates the feeling of pitch and roll using information from the physics model and image generator provided by the X-plane software. As the airplane model traverses its digital realm within the computer software, bidirectional data is processed between various components to deliver a amusing experience.
