The Vital Watch System allows for caregivers to keep constant monitoring over patients remotely through a wearable device and mobile application. The wearable device conducts vital readings which are trasferred to a database to be accessed by the mobile application which displays the vitals as they are conducted.
The wearable device is constructed of a PCB with a microcontroller, sensors and other hardware components which conduct pulse and oxygen saturation readings on an approximate 30 second basis.
Device utilizes Wi-Fi to connect to a cloud-based database on Adafruit IO which stores all of the vital readings conducted by the device for easy access by the mobile application.
The Android application allows for easy and real-time viewing of the patient's vitals readings. The application is also equipped with an emergency notification system for stark vital changes.
