The Automated Rescue Vehicle
The goal of the Automated Rescue Vehicle (A.R.V.) is to help in search and rescue efforts on bodies of water by providing assistance without taking away a set of eyes from scanning for survivors or debris from shipwrecks. It's core functionalities are that of an RC boat with automated navigation and a camera system with object detection and image processing capabilities. Rescue efforts for missing persons are arduous tasks on land, and can seem impossible on the open seas. We believe this system will lend a helping hand where any useful resource is desperately needed.
