Project Summary

The Autonomous Recyclable Sorter will be able to sort common recyclable materials such as platic, metal, and glass utilizing modern technology and innovations such as machine learning and image processing. In a perfect world, this invention would allow all trash to be put into the same baskets and leave the sorting/recycling up to the machine to minimize errors and maximize recycling percantage by eliminating the human variable. Some of the major objectives include, developing a robust and cost-effective recyclable sorting system, and making the system as effortless to use as possible. We strive to develop a scalable solution that can be implemented in various locations across the world and promote global efforts towards a greener and cleaner environment.
