The Team

Sommer MarshSommer Marsh is 21 years old and will be graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Upon graduation she will begin working at AT&T with the Network Planning & Engineering team. Sommer plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Power Systems Engineering outside of the University of Central Florida community.

 

 


 

Timothy FoardTimothy Foard was raised in Pembroke Pines, FL. He attended Charles W. Flanagan High School where he played varsity baseball during his four year stint there. Math has always been one of his favorite subjects, completing AP Calculus A and B by his junior year. After graduation in 2007, Tim went to play college baseball in Tennessee at Jackson State Community College. It only took one year for him to decide that baseball would not be a career for him, and he decided to come to Orlando to continue his education. He hopes to pursue a career in embedded systems design upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree from UCF in Electrical Engineering.

 


 

Adam HeerenAdam Heeren was raised in St. Petersburg, FL where he attended the Center for Advanced Magnet Program at Lakewood High School. At the program, he was able to be exposed to advanced math, science, and computer programming classes that strongly influenced his decision to pursue the field of Computer Engineering as his major at the University of Central Florida. After graduating with his Bachelor’s of Science, Adam will begin working as a software developer at Orbis Technologies in Jacksonville, FL. In his free time, Adam likes to read and work on personal projects with embedded electronics.

 


 

Brian ZeiBrian Zei was born in Davie, FL where he lived for most of his life. During high school at Archbishop McCarthy, he was part of the national champion chess team. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and was part of the school marching, concert, and jazz bands. Through these organizations, Brian contributed several hundred hours of community service over the four years of high school. He now hopes to graduate from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and aspires to get a job in the video game industry.
