SmartStride Demonstration

Welcome to SmartStride

While techonology has advanced pretty far in the past few years there are still many problems that require solutions. SmartStride is intented to tackle two, the need to provide for the handicapped and the affordable products to do so. This project's main focus is to fit older mechanical wheelcharis with a series of components designed to turn the chair into a fully autonomous unit while maintaining its original functionality. This is mainly done using custom microcontrollers that adapt the digital output of modern computers to an anolog signal that wheelchair computers use to control the motors. With the addition of sensors recycled from the Xbox Kinectv2 the chair will now be able to collect and map data from its environment providing those incapable of moving on their own with an alternative means of moving around more efficiently.

Please take a look at the Members section for any information regarding the group members of the project and see who are the mentors helping the team.

The documentation section contains all of the research and data compiled from the team and any presentation files done by the team.

The videos section will have any recorded presentations done by the team for an easier way to digest everything from the documentation section.
