Hadi Kamali is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Central Florida, where he directs the Hardware Assurance and Verification Excellence Research Group (HAVEN). Before that, he was a research assistant professor at the University of Florida. Kamali received his doctorate from George Mason University in 2021. His research interests include hardware security with a particular focus on exploiting IP protection techniques, design-for-trust for VLSI circuits, and CAD frameworks for security (design-for-security). Kamali’s work has received multiple recognitions from various conferences. His research contributions also resulted in numerous funded projects by government agencies, including the National Science Foundation, SRC, and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, as well as industries including Synopsys, Intel and Microchip.
