Master the Future of Robotics

With a Master of Science in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, you can develop the skills necessary to design, develop and analyze the emerging robotics and autonomous platforms that are increasingly becoming a part of society. These platforms embody technology from multiple disciplines and require knowledge of electrical and electronic hardware, autonomous control, computer vision, machine learning and more.

As a student in this program, you learn the fundamental concepts of robotics technology through both coursework and research in our state-of-the-art laboratories.

This degree is the first and only master’s in robotics in the State of Florida, which boasts the third largest robotics job market in the U.S. The expertise you gain from the program will prepare you for a dynamic career developing adaptive technologies for autonomous vehicles, medical robotics, research and development, and AI-driven systems.

CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM ADMISSIONS

The M.S. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems requires 30 credit hours beyond the bachelor’s degree, including 12 credit hours of required courses and 12 credit hours of electives. The remaining six credit hours will complete the thesis or non-thesis options.

For admission, a 3.0 GPA is required and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or statistics is preferred. 

In addition to the general UCF requirements for admission, you must also submit a resume and an official sealed transcript. Letters of recommendation are encouraged but not required.

The professional preparation you receive in our program may still assist you in such pursuits; however, we are unable to confirm the specific licensure and certification requirements of each state, territory, or foreign entity in which professional credentialing may be possible. If you intend to pursue such credentialing in your state or elsewhere, we strongly advise you to contact the applicable state credentialing authority to familiarize yourself with its specific requirements and determine if our program meets its academic criteria.
