Biography

Qichen Yang received his bachelor’s degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2013, and his doctoral degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018. He joined the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University as a postdoctoral scholar in 2019 and served as a research faculty member there until July 2024. His research interests include medium-voltage multilevel converters, medium-voltage DC circuit breakers, and high-voltage insulation technologies.
