Empower yourself with a skillset in electrical engineering. With an interest in electronics or a passion for STEM, you can explore the basics of electrical engineering through this program. Learn the fundamentals of linear circuits, semiconductor design and signal analysis — foundational skills that can useful for a career in robotics, telecommunications or manufacturing. Please note this minor is not open to students who major in electrical engineering.
CURRICULUM AND PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
The Minor in Electrical Engineering requires 18 to 21 credit hours, including six credit hours from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
There are no additional requirements for admission into the program beyond admission to UCF.
Please note that this program is not open to students majoring in electrical engineering.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
While licensure or certification may be available in this field of study, our program does not directly lead to such licensure or certification upon graduation. The professional preparation you receive in our program meets the educational requirements for licensure as a professional engineer and may still assist you in such pursuits; however, the licensing authority and requirements for professional engineers falls under the jurisdiction of the licensing board for the state, territory, or foreign entity in which engineer practices.
If you intend to pursue such credentialing in your state or elsewhere, we strongly advise you to contact the applicable state credentialing authority to familiarize yourself with its specific requirements.
