Muhammad Rashed has been selected to receive the prestigious David T. and Jane M. Donaldson Memorial Graduate Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarship is awarded to a CECS graduate student demonstrating outstanding academic and research achievements and comes with a monetary award of $4,000.

“I am sincerely honored to have been selected for the scholarship,” Rashed said. “I would like to thank the donors for their generosity.”

Rashed is a computer engineering Ph.D. candidate under advisor Rickard Ewetz, Ph.D., working on design automation for emerging computing paradigms. He is working on how to accelerate artificial intelligence applications and other data-intensive applications using emerging non-volatile memory. Rashed’s research has been published in several top conferences such as DAC, ICCAD, MICRO and DATE.
