The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking applicants for four inaugural Northrup Grumman (NG) Undergraduate Scholarships positions starting in Spring 2024. These scholarships are made possible by the generous financial support from NG, with the objective of promoting research and education in the general areas of digital design and VLSI.

Applicants must desire a career at NG after graduation and will be given an opportunity to do an internship with NG over the Summer 2024 semester. The NG Undergraduate Research Scholars will be paired with active research faculty in the department and will have an opportunity to interact with the NG engineers and managers to prepare themselves for a career at the company. If you have any research or work experience in this general area, please make sure to highlight that in your application package.

ELIGIBILITY

This position will last two semesters. The student chosen for this scholarship will be paid $20/hour for up to 20 hours a week and must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Declared undergraduate electrical or computer engineering major
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours
  • Cumulative UCF GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Enrolled at UCF for the Spring and Fall 2024 semesters
  • Available to work 20 hours per week
REQUIRED ESSAY

Eligible applicants are required to submit an essay describing your career goals. The essay should be 300 to 500 words and should also include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make them uniquely worthy of this scholarship consideration.
