Research Interests

  • Reliability and radiation response in advanced microelectronic devices and ICs based on silicon, compound semiconductors, and two-dimensional materials, photonic devices, radio frequency devices and ICs, and MEMS/NEMS
  • Characterization of defects and their effects on the performance, reliability, and radiation response of emerging materials and devices for space applications

On-going research projects:

  • AFOSR/CoE — Radiation Effects Center of Excellence for radiation effects in wide-band gap semiconductor-based power devices
  • NASA Goddard — SiC power devices for lunar applications
  • DTRA/Penn State University — Rad-hard by design and radiation effects after characterization
  • DoD/Apogee — LFN and radiation effects in advanced technology in extreme temperatures
  • US/Army SCALE — Workforce development in radiation effects
  • NSF/EPICA — electronic photonic integrated circuits for aerospace in collaboration with Georgia Tech and UCF to study radiation in photonic devices and ICs
