UCF ECE Won an Award From The Department of Energy’s Energise Program
February 1, 2017
The team consists of researchers from UCF ECE, NREL, HNEI, Siemens, GE, Duke and OPAL-RT, and it is led by Professor Zhihua Qu. Their proposal, entitled “Scalable/secure cooperative algorithms and framework for Extremely-high penetration solar integration (SolarExpert)” aims at designing and developing a scalable architecture and a set of algorithms for distributed control and optimization. These solutions will be highly scalable, data-driven, and capable of fully optimizing power system operation and planning.
