Marwan A. Simaan, Florida 21st Century Chair and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has been elected to the 2014 College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).
In recognition of his scholarly research and significant contributions to the Department and College of Engineering and Computer Science, Prof. Juin J. Lious is today named the Lockheed Martin St. Laurent Professor. This professorship is one of the four endowed professorships in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at UCF.

Congratulations to Dr. John Shen, who was selected as the winner of the IEEE Region 3 Outstanding Engineer Award. Region 3 encompasses over 30,000 IEEE members across nine states in the southeastern US and Jamaica. This award is given in recognition of his contributions in very high density DC-DC power converters.
